After the latest newsletter from Eclipsed Sound, that could indeed be the case :
âNow that our team has returned from our trip to Anaheim for NAMM, we have immediately began working on our newest Tone Chroma vocal project. With the way our process unfolds, expect some inklings of this vocalâs color and character information starting later this spring! I think that this voice will satisfy a certain number of long-time vocal synthesis users, so stay up to date with our newsletters to come to hear more!â
Here is why I think this is a new language:
- The wording is weirdly specific, unlike other voicebanks. Specifically: âexpect some inklings [âŠ] starting later this springâ. This suggests something new. A new timbre is very unlikely, as all timbres I can think of are taken. So I think this is a new language.
- âI think that this voice will satisfy a certain number of long-time vocal synthesis usersâ - this suggests a language, as many long-time vocal synthesis users are begging for various languages. I donât think any non-linguistic things would be desired as much as new languages are.
- This fits very well to the previous clues about French support.
REMMANT was first teased in late October, and released in early January.
This new voice was teased in mid-February, so we would expect it to release in late April, very close to the Polish majĂłwka (long May weekend, 1-3 May) - which aligns with the expected French time window, which is now refined to April-May based on the new clues.

and it happened at the right moment. Just before April starts. And my predicted date is April or May.

Thatâs actually the most interesting part.
Because now:

However, they did not mention the newsletter. It is possible they are setting up an April surprise, like the one from French, because itâs April soon. However, this is all just speculation and is not confirmed.
My thread is now the 8th most viewed and 4th most replied, and has the most replies out of all threads with fewer than 100 replies.

even the default Google AI uses my thread as a source. thatâs how popular I got. Right at the beginning of April, which is my predicted date.
Itâs great that youâre excited about the possibility of French! But maybe curb your expectations a tiny bit? The only thing we know about French is through one comment made by someone who represented Dreamtonics at an event and we donât even know if French is still in their plans. For all we know they couldâve dropped those plans. Itâs ok to be excited for things! But when you put so many expectations on something that might not even happen for a while if at all, youâre gonna end up disappointed. And I know you donât wanna be disappointed over something like this. Iâm not annoyed or anything I just wanted to say this to put things into perspective! I have nothing against you and I hope for your sake French gets added! But it has to be on DTâs terms ofc.

And I also hope that @Dreamtonics , @Dreamtonics_Miguel or whoever knows something about it, as well as about other languages required, please come forward soon to clarify with a post that will clear away some of the expectations which, for now, only air in our dream worldâŠ

Here is a realistic, between-the-lines interpretation of Miguelâs (Dreamtonics) message in the forum thread:
Literal reading
It is a polite, positive, and standard community manager response:
He acknowledges the communityâs interest (âwe are delightedâ, âa topic that is also very close to our heartsâ).
He explains why adding a new language is complex (development and validation of an entirely new phonemic system, extensive testing, and meticulous fine-tuning to meet their quality standards).
He ends with the classic formula: âRest assured that we hear you and are following the conversation closely.â
What we read between the lines
No confirmation: There is not a single sentence that says âyes, French is comingâ, âwe are working on itâ, âit will be in 2026â, or even âFrench is in our plansâ. He remains completely neutral and general (âdifferent languagesâ, âa new languageâ).
No timeline: No date, no horizon (2026, 2027, etc.). It is deliberately vague.

To follow up on my previous message, Iâd say (pure speculation) that Dreamtonicsâ priority now is to capitalize on their expertise by releasing virtual instruments that are no longer based on traditional samples like conventional VSTs, but on deep neural networks â just like they did with voices.
A real race has begun. The competitors are already there: at the very least ACE Studio (now allied with EastWest) and Cantai. A wave of AI-powered instruments is coming to the VST market, and Dreamtonics clearly doesnât want to miss the train. The first ones to arrive will take a large share of the market. The âold-schoolâ sample library vendors are likely to struggle to survive⊠which probably explains why so many of them are heavily discounting their VSTs right now, while they still have value.
I can easily imagine, following the model of the recently released SynthV choirs, a whole range of instruments going from soloist to full section (up to 16 players?), with all the functions theyâve already developed: spacing, effects, and variations in playing style between instruments to make them sound truly âalive.â It will probably be just as spectacular as what they achieved with voices. Weâll likely also get individual âsignatureâ instruments, in the style of a âStradivarius played by Itzhak Perlmanâ (with all the unique character and quirks of the virtuoso).
Dreamtonics remains a small team. Despite the appeal of adding new languages, itâs quite possible that the company has other, more urgent priorities⊠Only time will tell!
I agree with you for what you wrote.
The difference is that in ACE Studio âweâ have already introduced Italian, French, and Portuguese, among other languages. It will still be exciting to follow the competition, as you say.
