Really looking forward to hear your version.
they didnât confirm it, but iâm 100% sure French is coming in March-April 2026, as many independent official and semi-official clues converge.
2018 - synthv first made, supported 3 languages - English, Japanese, and Chinese. each voicebank can only sing in 1 language
2020 - old software retired, replaced with new, no new languages added
December 23, 2021 - Cross-Lingual Synthesis (XLS) feature added - you can now choose your track to be in whatever language you like, but the notes in each track are limited to 1 language per track.
November 10, 2022 - Note-level Cross-Lingual Synthesis feature added - you are no longer limited to 1 language per track, each note can now have its own language, but you are still limited to the languages available in SynthV
April 18, 2023 - Cantonese added
November 24, 2023 - Experimental Spanish support added to one voicebank
December 18, 2023 - Spanish support added to most, but not all voicebanks
April 4, 2024 - Spanish support added to all voicebanks
September 12, 2024 - software last updated before retirement in March
November 23, 2024 - Korean and French announced by a representative
March 21, 2025 - old software retired, new software released. The new software includes all 5 languages, as well as a new, sixth language - Korean. XLS pronunciation accuracy degraded, introduced strongly accented pronunciation
June 18, 2025 - new voicebanks from March received a closed beta update (only available to download for a limited time) - the update improved the pronunciation so itâs now as good as before.
July 23, 2025 - the update is now available as a full update, pronunciation improved. No new languages added yet

Future predictions:
late October 2025 - some vague official clues released, not specifically name-dropping the language
late 2025 (November-December, or maybe January 2026) - official French demos released (might coĂŻncide with NAMM 2026, which is in January)
January 20-24, 2026 - NAMM 2026 show, Dreamtonics will likely show some demos of new features, including, potentially, French language support
February-March 2026 - French voicebanks and/or updates to preëxisting voicebanks officially announced.
March-April 2026 - French language support officially added to SynthV
May 2026 (or perhaps late April or early June) - more updates, potentially improving errors in French pronunciation.
@ZLY_CZLOWIEK , I understand your determination. I would not be and am not any less so
.
I hope that we will both be satisfied as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I wish the @Dreamtonics, @Dreamtonics_Miguel staff continued success in their work, across the board, which has brought us excellent results from continuous development.
Here, however, I must defend my category! ![]()
Italian is a highly regarded language in singing, especially in terms of genre, and in 2024 it became one of the languages generating over $100 million in royalties on Spotify, indicating that it is among the most listened to. Although it is not among the most widely spoken languages, its cultural, musical, and academic value makes it very popular.
So Italian is so popular in singing
Just to say: Opera Music, particularly, has made Italian an important language in singing, with many of the most famous works written and performed all over the world.
yes, I think after French, Italian will be next (release in 2027?), as this language is very popular. Not sure what will come next after Italian. Russian or German maybe?
I donât understand why you used the phonemes [e x rr] for the infinitive ending -er
I usually donât study all the options for interpreting French. Iâll just go with what sounds closest to me. But Iâm open to any suggestions you might have. ![]()
in -er, the final -r is silent, itâs just pronounced like Ă©. a plain âeâ or even âihâ would be better
i also noticed a few minor mistakes (like the verb ending -ent and noun/adjective -ent not being distinguished, but they are pronounced very differently even thoughh spelled the same, and some instances of /É„/ sound like a plain /w/.)
but itâs okay, everyone makes mistakes sometimes ![]()
I made the French songs!
Pour que tu mâaimes encore - SynthV 2 cover
Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro - Jardin de Pluie (Ame No Niwa (éšăźćș), The Rain Garden) - French version
Remember this? Well, I got some news for you.
I predicted that 2.2.0 will release ânear Decemberâ. And in fact, the beta version released on November 25th, which is indeed close to December. I DID IT! I predicted a future update twice in a row!
2.1.0 - June
2.2.0 - late November (5 months after june)
extrapolating:
2.3.0 - 5 months after November is April.
This aligns exactly with:
-
the historical spring release window for new languages
-
the representativeâs French hint from 2024
-
my earlier prediction
-
the yearly âone new language per yearâ trend
-
the typical SynthV development cycle
-
my predicted NAMM demo in January
-
a big new feature release in early spring
So structurally, April 2026 is the most likely month for the next language â which all the clues strongly suggest will be French.
Hey everyone!
After Eclipsed Sounds teased their next Tone Chroma voice (AES Show in October + November newsletter), we know something big is coming. Hereâs why this could be a turning point for French in Synth V.
What We Know
-
Style: nostalgic / oldies, male voice, based on a real singer.
-
Currently in demo phase, moving toward public phase soon (per November newsletter).
Why French Makes Sense
-
Eclipsed Sounds pattern:
-
HXVOC â English
-
GALENAIA â Spanish
-
Next logical step: a third language for diversity â French is the most requested after Spanish.
-
-
Teaser says: âexplore new territoryâ â likely a new language, not just a genre.
Historical Pattern: SAROS & Spanish
-
Spanish announced: Nov 5, 2023 â beta demo.
-
SAROS release: Nov 24, 2023 â English stable, Spanish via beta.
-
Cross-lingual Spanish for all AI voices: January 2024 (â2 months later).
If This Voice Is Bilingual (English + French)
-
January 2026: French available for this voice via beta.
-
March 2026: Full cross-lingual rollout â French for all AI voices (Liam, Natalie, SAROSâŠ).
-
Impact: game-changer for the French-speaking community.
Likely Timeline
-
Pre-order: late December / early January.
-
Release: mid-to-late January 2026.
-
Full rollout: FebruaryâMarch 2026.
Well, it depends on the vary points of view, of course. After Spanish, French is definitely the most spoken language, while Italian has a longer history in singing, both pop and classical. A more detailed statement from @Dreamtonics , @Dreamtonics_Miguel at this point, weâd be much happier than any other assumption. In any case, any new developments in this field are welcome.
and January matches NAMM 2026
