Since Studio One rebranded as Fender Studio Pro, Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro no longer works in ARA mode e.g. dragging Synth V 2 ARA plugin on to a vocal event no longer opens Synthesizer V.
Before the Fender rebrand, the ARA plugin was working perfectly in Studio One v7.2.
Is this a Synthesizer V2 Pro issue or is it something Fender need to fix?
When dragging the SV ARA plugin on to an audio clip this ARA window pops up.
If I add a Synth V instrument track as instructed by the pop-up, it opens in bridge mode and playback synchronises with the DAW but the audio event I added the SV ARA plugin to doesn’t appear in the SV instrument.
Same issue here. I contacted Fender who said they were looking in to it but also said to inform Dreamtonics. Why is no one from the company answering this thread? Is there a particular place to report bugs?
I’m new to Dreamtonics and am very interested in the new choir voices. My DAW is Fender Studio Pro (formerly PreSonus). Do you know if I can use the ARA mode with the latest version of Studio Pro (v8.01)?
Same Issue here. I’ve been sending Tickets about this for a while (since Studio Pro Beta) …
This should be an easy fix, because this was working on Studio One 7.
All y other ARA plugins work fine on Fender Studio Pro, so it’s not on their end.
So on Lukas’s Studio One Forum, someone posted a solution for SSL 360 incompatibility with Fender Pro Studio which apparently calls for renaming the executable file from “Studio Pro.exe” to “Studio One.exe”. I just tried this myself and sure enough, the ARA version of Synth V Pro 2.2.0 now seems to load correctly. I have not tested this extensively, so caveat emptor, but I will be testing and using it, barring any unforeseen snags, at least until either Fender or Dreamtonics addresses the issue “properly”.
Yes, as expected the name is being determined by Dreamtonics not per ARA protocol. I have mentioned that it’s a simple name issue to Dreamtonics so why can’t we get a simple patch?
They have repeatedly answered we do release info. Please sign up for news letter.
I’m on Windows. As per the explanation in your link, after renaming the folder ‘Studio Pro 8’ to ‘Studio One 8’, the ARA plugin and Synth V’s audio to midi conversion is now working correctly…..
*Change
C:\Program Files\Fender\Studio Pro 8
to
C:\Program Files\Fender\Studio One 8

Many thanks!
Very welcome. Happy it worked for you too. It’s been working solid for me too. Hopefully Dreamtonics provides a proper fix in the near term. I’ve been continuing to use S1 7.2 up to now. Happy to move to FSP 8.01with SynthV .
