Using instrument X in logic

Hi. I’ve bought some string modules for instrument X and I use Logic Pro.

I can’t find a way to hear the instrument pre render - or do I just have to play the keyboard with a sine wave sound and then hear it after it’s rendered?

I’m trying to work out a methodology for orchestration with the instrument.

You cannot hear it pre-render. I suppose anyone using it would write with a sample based library and then render from that midi. Not exactly a smooth workflow.
