Can someone here confirm that I can upload my songs to distributors if I have used these voicebanks for the vocals? I contacted cdbaby, they say yes but indicated that I must have a licence etc implying I may have to provide proof etc. Is that the case?
Can someone give me a definitive answer as the legal jargon is hard to understand…

As long as you legally bought the vb’s, you have a license to use them! The license in this case is like the ability to use them without restriction.

You’re not required to use their names BUT you aren’t allowed is make their names different if you choose to use the names.
For example you can’t call Kevin “Rocky” because that’s misappropriating the name.
You need to check the terms stated in each licence, they vary and you may need the supplier’s permission depending on use.
You will have agreed to a licence when each voice bank was purchased, demo voices cannot be used for published works.
Would be handy knowing their real names rather than the pseudo ones….

I’ve worked with two distributors, and neither of them cared about using Synthesizer V.

And to answer the question from your last post: Most of the real names are known, but for obvious reasons, we’re not allowed to use them.
