The MOTU M4 buffer to 4096 samples (maximum value) causes a voice delay

Hello to the development team.
I’m a big fan of synthesizerV2.

I’m using Cubase 15.0.30 + synthesizerV2 2.2.1
ARA plugin sync is enabled
My audio interface is MOTU M4

With this setup, setting the M4 buffer to 4096 samples (maximum value) causes a delay of approximately 100ms only in synthesizerV2’s output. Other VST instrument sounds are unaffected.

Besides the delay, I also experience periodic dropouts in vocals.

With the standalone version of synthesizerV2, selecting ASIO as the audio interface and outputting audio from the M4 would naturally be affected by the buffer size.

However, why does the buffer size affect synthesizerV2 when using it as a VST via a DAW?

It’s puzzling.

If I change the M4 buffer size to 512 or 1024 without changing any other settings, the lag disappears. There are no interruptions in the vocals, and it works perfectly fine.
