Synthesizer V Studio Pro 2.2.1 repeatedly crashes and eventually causes Windows BSOD during editing

Hello Dreamtonics Team,

I am using a legitimate licensed copy of Synthesizer V Studio Pro, purchased directly from Dreamtonics.

I would like to report a serious issue that is preventing me from working with Synthesizer V Studio Pro 2.2.1.

System Information

  • Synthesizer V Studio Pro: Version 2.2.1

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 25H2

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-14700KF

  • RAM: 64 GB DDR5

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)

Issue Description

Synthesizer V initially launches and works normally. However, after editing Vocal Mode parameters for a while (especially parameters such as Power), the application suddenly closes without displaying any error message.

After reopening the project, the same behavior repeats. After several crashes, the problem becomes more severe and Windows itself crashes and automatically restarts.

The Windows Event Viewer reports the following BugCheck errors:

  • 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)

  • 0x0000001E (KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED)

Windows also generated minidump files for both crashes.

At this point, one of my projects sometimes cannot even be opened anymore.

Additional Testing

To rule out common causes, I performed the following tests:

  • Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Synthesizer V Studio Pro.

  • Tested with both large projects and very small phrases.

  • Initially I believed the problem was related to SAROS, but after further testing I confirmed that the same crashes also occur with other voice databases.

  • Therefore, the issue does not appear to be limited to a specific voice database.

Additional Information

  • This issue only occurs while using Synthesizer V Studio Pro.

  • I have not experienced crashes, system instability, or BSODs while using any other demanding software or games on this computer.

  • I can provide the Windows minidump files if they would be helpful for investigating the issue.

Request

Has anyone experienced similar behavior with Synthesizer V Studio Pro 2.2.1?

Also, if this is a known issue, would it be possible to provide access to a previous stable version of Synthesizer V Studio Pro while this problem is being investigated? At the moment, I am unable to continue working on my current project, so having access to an earlier stable release would be extremely helpful.

If the development team needs any additional information, crash dumps, log files, or further testing, I would be happy to provide them.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Hi, don“t think its a v pro problem. Seems to be the 14000kf problem under high load. Have you tried to increase the audio buffers from your audio interface ? What audio interface do you use ? Are you on latest bios ?

Hello,

I have experienced this after doing a number of loudness contours / points editing. As long as I do very minimal points editing in the loudness curves or on vibrato curves, etc. after I have done a few, Synth V Pro crashes. I am using it within Cubase 15 Pro as a Plug-in. As I explained earlier, if I only do minimal adjustments it is okay, but if I do more than a few, the crash happens. I save regularly knowing that this tends to happen.
