Here is my attempt to use the wide vocal range of SAROS to sing a song full of vocal virtuosity typical of the blues. And this is the cover of Lose Control, originally sung by the scratchy voice of Teddy Swims.
The background vocals are by Solaria and Oscar who, like good backing singers, sing in this song without overpowering the lead vocals.
In this cover I attempted to recreate the same passion that I found in the original singer-songwriter’s extraordinary rendition.
It must have taken a lot of work to treat each note or was it created via Sing? So nice and genuine that I trust your diligence more than working through Sing.
Thank a lot Gauzde, I’m glad you liked it!
Yes, I worked on it but also enjoyed it.
I don’t know Sing. I worked mostly on SynthV parameters like Pitch and Tension and Dynamics (Loudeness) of Saros. At first I extracted lead and instrumental track through UVR5 (excellent open source software that I recommend if you want extract instrumental tracks from a song). The lead track was processed through the SynthV extract note function to facilitate my transcription task. However, the function is not perfect. Pitch and notes obtained were inaccurate, so I devoted myself note-for-note to track the singing. I worked a lot on pitch and tension, to make the singing sound as natural as possible.
Here you can see part of the eleborate related to the Tension and Loudness parameters:
This is the starting setting of the Saros voice. As you can see I made a combo of presets that sounded best to me based on the melodic context. It starts with a slightly increased default Tension, as well as Gender, while Breathiness is lower:
Sing is Pitch mode ( Sing-Rap-Manual ) in the Note Properties panel. I work for the most part in Manual mode and use more Auto Pitch tuning and Rerun with New Random Seed, which according to my drawing skills without talent, I allow myself to redraw in the curves. I rarely use Ai Retakes and Ornament selected notes. I can also sing my ideas at my amateur level and transfer them to Synthesizer V Pro. I implement this method of work exclusively on my songs. I don’t dare to Cover well-known songs, because even that requires the ability to complete the work in the smallest details, which I wouldn’t be able to do.
This sound amazing! The mix is really good along with whatever processing you did to the vocal. If I heard this without knowing it’s Synthesizer V, I’d assume that was the original artist. Really great!
The expressiveness you’ve managed to create here is just amazing, it sounds so human I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell if I didn’t otherwise know it was Saros. Great job, truly fantastic work!
You make WAY better use of Saros that i have so far.Your bends and glides are excellent. The vibrato feels off somehow, tho. Too fast or too deep? Perhaps just coming in too soon? And that may be personal taste… Nice job.
