I’m having to move to a new Windows PC (because 10 is going away.) On the old one I had 2 voice banks from Eclipsed Sounds- Solaria and Asterian. When I click the link from my original purchase email (from July 23) to download, it says “forbidden.” How can I get these voice banks and enter the authentication code?
By the way, is this a new forum? I used to use a different forum for Synth V but I can’t seem to find it.
Hi,
Yes the old forum was lost due to some sort of corruption and could not be recovered… so shiny bright new replacement
As for the voicebanks, I guess you have not unregistered them on the old computer? That would be the easiest start point if possible, also for SynthV itself. I guess your original email link will have long since expired, I keep a copy of each install file on my computer - won’t help with the licence issue but does allow reinstalls if I uninstall a voice (AFTER unregistering it).
Voice licences vary from provider to provider, Dreamtronics allows three simultaneous installs, my copy of Solaria has a rather vague licence condition:-
but in previous cases like this (HDD crash or new machine) the user has had to go back to the supplier and explain why they have ‘lost’ a licence and need the activation code resetting, I think it has always had a positive outcome?
Like it was said don’t forget to deactivate your voicebanks from your old pc, if you have your code and just need the installer you can use: Dreamtonics Download enter your code and you’ll get the installer for the voice you need.
I’ll make certain to do the deactivation on the old pc. I had no issues with Dreamtonics. Reinstall was easy with them. The problem is with Eclipsed Sounds. I’d think that they’d have a download page, but I can’t seem to locate it.
I was able to locate the downloaded installer for Astarian and Solaria on my old PC and installed with no issue. Glad I kept and found them. Thanks for the help.
