Call me contrary if you like, but I don’t take kindly to finding a company whose website takes my money with no problem, but which fails to deliver the software in exchange 
All sorted now. The upgrade process wasn’t helped by the fact that the voices were apparently being updated but then still showed the Install Button alongside the voice names. Eventually I had to rename the ~/Library/Application Support/Dreamtonics/Synthesizer V Studio 2/databases folder and then reinstall the voices, thus forcing a voice database rebuild. That’s ahour of my life I’m never going to get back…
