I like it, but I find it very unsettling for some reason. Maybe it’s the contrast between the upbeat music and vocal vibe and the decidedly downbeat lyrics?
Many thanks for listening, Keith, and for the useful feedback.
Is that the pure Solaria or processed with Vocoflex or somthing like that? It sound more soft and Pop Like that i have not heared in a Solaria Song. Or your Vocal mixinig process is the key? Any suggetions what Vocal mode you used Synth V?
Thank you
Andy
Hi Andy
The lead and virtually all the backing vocals are Synth V version 1 and Solaria version 1. I haven’t got Vocoflex.
For Solaria v1 I set the Gender control somewhere between 0.040 – 0.070 to get a more mature, rounded sound. Then I play around with parameters for different parts of the song.
When I’ve got close to what I want, I export to audio and bring it into Cubase. From there, I process it exactly like a human singer — i.e. compression, EQ, de-esser and pitch adjust if needed etc. If you do a search for vocal production tips for the DAW you’re using you’ll likely find loads of useful specific tips.
Happy creating!
