many many moons ago, my children would get me to play guitar and sing to them as they fell asleep. one night, they were particularly fiesty and even crying because song time was over and they weren’t yet asleep. so i played a blues and sang “cry on my pillow, til the back is wet” etc etc. and somehow by the time i had gone through it a few repetitions to work out the lyrics, they were asleep.
