Hi all. Just started on the Synth V journey - all going well so far using it as a vst in Cubase, but The only voices that are available are Solaria (purchased) and Asterian (Lite).
However, when I access the program in standalone mode I get a different dialogue showing ‘Best For Singing’ and ‘Best For Rapping’ and I am also given the options of D-Lin, Eri and Ritchy - but these don’t appear on the plugin version.
Any advice on loading these voices in the plugin would be most appreciated.
Normally the plugin mirrors the standalone version. Unless you did an update or an installation without having exiting the DAW. So after restarting your Cubase the plugin could see the same voice banks.
Maybe with a different version demo downloaded first and then the purchased version… so Cubase see another vst installed.
Just uninstalled and reinstalled Synth V, Solaria and Asterian Lite - I still don’t get the ‘Best For Singing’ dialog, but my voice options in the plugin now are Sol, Ast … plus Mai … but no Ritchy, Eri or D-Lin ?!?
Any other suggestions how to make a clean uninstall would be helpful - Just concerned that there may be other functions that I am missing in the plugin version of the program.
Search on your hard disk the folder databases
In Windows we have:
C:\Users"your own username"\OneDrive\Documents\Dreamtonics\Synthesizer V Studio\databases
Maybe the standalone is pointing to the good one but the plugin is on another.
In this case, you will find multiple databases folders.
And also check the path voice bank inside DAW and in standalone:
If your voice database is a FLT (Feature Limited Trial) version, then they do not support using it in the plugin, so the plugin version will hide these voice databases.
This point is explained on the download page of the website:
@LinR_PN Gotcha … just happened upon this line in the troubleshooting guide of the user manual, just before seeing your reply which seems to bear out your information:
Blockquote * In the plugin version, you cannot use the FLT Voice Databases. Please purchase a full version Voice Database, or install Synthesizer V AI Mai which is included in the Pro version.
So that clarifies the position - I’m not missing anything, and software is working as expected
Ok, it’s good to read this clarification.
I only read the first post with the word “purchased”. So I didn’t integrate this mixed situation. And it’s good to discover these limitations. Never happened on my computer because I never install a demo version to avoid surprises or doubt on issues.
