Well done. I bought that voice and haven’t been able to get a good sound out of it. Dull and lifeless. Your track proves what can be done in the right hands.
Hi,
thanks. The miracle is:
- check how the voice sounds in different pitches
- use a vocal chain as you would mix a normal singer - after much experimenting i ended up with the easiest way in using CLA-Vocals with disabling reverb and delay
- then a good reverb like seventh heaven (just one example)
- using a de-esser plugin to get rid of the artefacts does not function (for me) - better to high cut the reverb

I find Melodyne to be great for getting things better on pitch and for dealing with sibliance. Not always perfect for de-essing but I have been quite successful. It’s also great for moving notes to fit the beat better. I like Fairchild for smoothing transients slightly. I have seventh heaven. It is a beautiful reverb. Maybe someday onboard FX will come as standard with the plugin.
