I put a new song in my music website called “Almost Somewhat Blonde”; it’s the song on top. Is it just me, or does Felicia sound like a well known “Blonde” singer from the 80’s; especially during the verse (which very much surprised me)? Here is my link:

Does sound remarkably blondie. The vocal line is really square, and the cadence isn’t very natural. Nothing wrong with non-natural cadence in very small doses, but I think it needs to be in much more moderation than we hear here. This means changing the beat that some words fall on to put the emphasis in a natural place. There are one or two rhythmic issues in the song itself, but not bad overall. I love when the synth comes in at around 2:45, and would love to hear more of that throughout. I think it would help the song feel less square overall.
The backing takes about 50 seconds to loosen up into a groove. That first 50 seconds feels very stiff and square.
