Does SV include a mixing panel for my choir singers to rehearse their parts with or without the other parts?
You can solo and/or mute parts in the arrangement panel. You can also alter the levels, though its a dial rather than a slider. User manual is here - https://sv2.docs.dreamtonics.com/en/home
Thanx for your answer, Midi….
Unfortunately I can’t make the members of my choir use Synth V. That’s too much too ask for.
I would like them to have some sort of a plug-in, an easy-to-handle panel with all the tracks, so they can mix them together in the way they can practice best.
Could you export all the parts as seperate wav, mp3 or whatever tracks, import them into Ableton or equivalent free DAW and then you have total control over each part’s volume, pan, reverb etc.
I do something like this for all my stuff so I know the seperate tracks export bit works - apart from my not doing the ‘live singers’ bit.
Yeah, that’s probably the best idea. I somehow was hoping to avoid this time consuming procedure, cause then my singers still don’t have a mixing panel for them to adjust as they like it.
But thanx anyway, Mechie. ![]()
But the whole point of using a DAW such as GarageBand, Ableton etc. is to give that very function, one fader for each track?
Are you wanting each singer in a group to have their own controls? That can be done by using Aux sends, one row of Aux’s per mix (as would be done in a studio or or for live stage foldback mixes), assuming you have a sound card capable of that many outputs.
Wow, that sounds great. I am gonna go for the GarageBand. Many Thanx ![]()
I completely misunderstood what you were asking for. ![]()
Render the individual parts and have people download something like Audacity, which is free and cross platform (unlike Garageband, which is Mac only). Its a bit of a clunk for someone who isn’t into audio mixing, but it is free, and its a mixer. They would load the parts into a project (you could even create the projects for them, so that they just have to download all the files, and open the project file).
If everyone in your choir uses a Mac, then Garageband is the obvious choice to do the same.
