Hi all,
I currently have Solaria and Mo Xu voice banks and I’m now trying out Etta.
I’m looking for a softer vocal for EDM — Etta sounds great, and she has really nice high tones with a vibrato I really like on those notes, but she still seems to be limited to about one octave.
I’m also considering Natalie or Felicia.
What are your impressions of those two, and what do you think of Etta overall?
I don’t think Felicia is very good as a soft voice (awesome as a ballsey one though!). I don’t get your comment about Etta being good for one octave. I think she has a great jazz range (low to high).
Thanks.
I have Solaria and Mo Xu, and love their voices, and looked for something else. I did find Natalie very good and played with her voice mode for a good result.
Regarding Etta, her voice range (from DT site) is C4-G#4.
When I started working with her and duplicated liam’s notes before editing she used the same vocal range (Octave 3) and sounded not good.
She seems to shine in the high range out of the box.
Voice ranges on DT’s web site are very conservative, but I think this is an error. Who has a vocal range of less than an octave? Even my vocal range is greater than that, and I wouldn’t even sing in front of my dog. I’d say Etta’s usable range is around G3 to B4. She can go above C5, but I think she’s struggling a bit up there.
Natalie is great. I just can’t handle her vibrato.
