Hi, just back after a year away. I see there is an ARA plugin now. Does it work propertly in Logic. I tried loading it on a track with a vocal in and then it told me to create a studio instrument with Synth V as the plugin. But I dont see the audio from the song in it
Can someone walk me through what to do. I want to use it for taking in rough vocals, and turning them into AI vocals.
Hi,
only if you use Logic in Rosetta mode
It’s been 4 years already and I’m beginning to wonder that ARA might never come to Logic, unless it is completely re-designed.
the other option is to use the standalone for the vocal transformation. one thing i do if i’m not using the ARA (which is most of the time even though it works perfectly in Cakewalk Sonar) is to use the standalone. just drag the vocal audio file into SV. right click to perform the extraction, then when completed, assign a voice bank to the newly created track. in my case i often double check the melody and then replace the lyrics if they’re really just the phonemes in lieu of actual words
some more - i will set the tempo and the meter etc as needed to match the song, and also import an instrumental only 2-track for me to reference the vocals against - in case i want to tweak timing etc. i ofteb also use Claire’s script to add a “key reference” so i can also check for notes out of key and tweak those if desired.
Logic Pro 11.0.1, macOS 14.7, M1 Max MacBook Pro, it works fine for me without Rosetta mode. Although I need to use Rosetta for SynthV. But then, I’m not using Vocoflex very much, just some surface level testing. I’ve not loaded voice samples into it yet. Does that effect things?
