I’m trying to template IX in Cubase by have an instance per section (WW, BRASS, STRINGS) and would like to set it up so all the routing to reverbs and busses is pre-configured, but if I have to create a new project each time to get tempo, etc most of that goes away.
Would it be possible to import into an existing IX project? My workflow is write/orchestrate in Dorico and import xml exported from Dorico into Cubase.
After working with IX for a bit now I realize what I’m asking isn’t very specific. On the one hand if I’m using ARA2 I don’t need to create a new project. What I’m really after is the ability to drag a music xml file (outside the daw session) into an existing track. Currently there’s only a choice of new project or new track.
I’d like to have the instance already set up with mic settings and FX inserts etc in my template. Hope this makes sense.
