How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach
When feeling out of sight
Searching for the end of being and ideal grace

How do I love thee?
It’s a pleasure to contemplate
I love thee by the sun and moon and light from all the stars
That fill the sky at night
Twinkling like fireflies as though it’s us they celebrate

I love thee freely
I love thee purely and as day follows day
I love thee securely
Thou are my reason to carry on when darkness comes
And all light is gone

How do I love thee?
Thy strength makes me brave
And I love thee with my breath and smiles and tears and all I am
Then when time disappears
With the grace of God, I’ll love thee best beyond the grave
Free from earthly chains

I love thee freely
I love thee purely and as day follows day
I love thee securely
Thou are my reason to carry on when darkness comes
And all the light is gone

How do I love thee?
Thy strength makes me brave
And I love thee with my breath and smiles and tears and all I am
Then when time disappears
With the grace of God, I’ll love thee best beyond the grave
Free from earthly chains

Sailing the seas of eternity
Thee and me and eternity
Thee and me

I’ve already heard that beautiful song on the PGMUSIC forum and I like to come back to it on this forum as well. And I will come back in later times as well. I’ll start with the text. There is a huge emotion here, hard to describe in words, but the author did it amazingly. The text is inspiring, even though I’m reading it through Google Translate. There are a lot of ideas in the text that force them to elaborate and pretend ( guess) and then write down their point of view and let it mature and maybe get inspired for some future song until the muse knocks on my subconscious. I also like to write melody to lyrics, but you did a great job. A beautiful enough accompaniment of the guitar and an emotionally wonderful singing of Natalie, who is completely immersed in the beautiful melody. Here the singing, text and arrangement are in perfect harmony.

Hi Guazde :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for your listening, and I appreciate your comments.

I used Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s (EBB) rhyme scheme and poetic metre. It was such a well written poem that everything literally fell into place. My first verse used the first four lines of EBB’s sonnet exactly as she wrote them. After that, the lyric pattern was set, and I used the remainder of her words to inspire lyric ideas. It was a very productive experiment!

I really like how Natalie performed these words. Synth V is amazing!

This is wonderful - nad of all things I thought I heard Natalie sound a touch country! Fine arrangement and composition around a very complex poem.

Hi Chris.
Thanks for having a listen. I agree with you. Natalie can sometimes sounds a little bit country to my ears, too. She’s a very versatile vocaloid.
