My third attempt with GERMAN, the second song in a row, after a week.
Viel spass beim zuhören, und bitte JA! Kommentieren.
Still not 100% perfect (it never will be…), but I think it’s not a very bad result.

Sounds really great! Maybe too much reverb - great work!
I made a mix of two things…
Although I could’ve put less reverb for the virtual demo cover, I just say that the musical arrangement I have used is from the studio recording, but I also have heard the singer in live sessions and have found this:
“Herbert Grönemeyer uses significant reverb to craft a signature, intimate, and expansive sound that enhances the emotional, often nostalgic, and deeply personal nature of his lyrics. This, combined with his raspy, expressive, and intense vocal delivery, creates a grand, atmospheric soundscape that blends rock and pop elements, deepening the emotional impact for his listeners.”
Wow, amazing. i wonder how you reproduce this Grönemeyer-Sound so good.
If the high notes were sharper, more explosive, I’d think you’d achieve a yet more typical instantly recognizable Grönemeyer sound. But perhaps in this song he does without this kind of “belting”, I can’t remember it as exactly.
I also can’t remember that Grönemeyer uses as much reverb, but even if he does, I’d prefer like chris3chris less of it in your recording.
I choose Liam, and I made the settings you see in the panel on the left of the screen.
I also used automation on the “tension”, also a little on the “breathiness” and here and there on the “mouth opening” of the "ü”.
As for the reverb, I got distracted by his live performances, maybe more than I should have, sorry ![]()
Das hört sich toll an. Gute Arbeit. Wenn du Feedback möchtest. Es müsste gefühlvoller sein und das Timing könnte besser sein. Es wirkt ein wenig steif. Ist aber nur meine Meinung. Insgesamt echt cool.
@PMRecording Absolutely correct point, I completely agree with you. I don’t mean to say that fiddling around with it for longer was irrelevant here. The focus was actually on experimenting with pronunciation; these are absolutely only experimental demos.
But any kind of constructive comments are very appreciated ![]()
Absolute best It would be great if DT offered more new languages. ![]()
Then we wouldn’t have to do as much tinkering.
Hi the music arrangement sounds quite as the original - congrats ! The singer sounds like in a club show where an animator is forced to sing Herbert ![]()
I think its not possible to reproduce german right now. Sounds more like an greek singer speaking german. But go on - the time will come ![]()
patepro I think it is possible. I made this 2022. I think it was one of the first SynthV versions. It’s not good, but meanwhile we are in version 2 of SynthV. Should be possible.
This mesns we can reproduce Greek at least… ![]()
Stimmt - haha. Wir sind Helden ![]()
Oh, that’s merely a matter of personal taste, I think.
How do you build “ü”?
It depends on the sentence. Mainly can be achieved with the Japanese y, other times you can use the English iy , but have to play with “mouth opening” drawing the automation line down. I think I also used the Mandarin y, if I remember correctly.
I wish Dreamtonics can add German to AI languages. Maybe you can request it as a Feature Request?
I can’t make it all alone .
People should take my GERMAN, FRENCH, ITALIAN Demo Covers and make it clear with @Dreamtonics . ![]()
I highly doubt that Dreamtonics’ business plan is based on a few individual comments and wishes from some users here in the forum ![]()
And there are more important things to do. Though I would instantly buy any German voicebank, I prefered a plugin that would not drive me crazy, corrupt my nerves and steal my time any time I use it, or try to use it… Well, “any time” applies to the choirs, the rest has improved already since the release, to be honest.
