Extended voiced consonants

In SVS2 using Choir Voices 2, I am trying to extend the “v” and “zh” consonant sounds as long voiced consonants. They are not working. When I swap out those consonants with “m” or “n” or “r” it works. Ideas?

v and zh are voiced.

I think they’re trying to use v and zh as syllabic consonants. It’s not voicedness that’s on topic, it’s syllabicity.

I think the topic is actually sonorant vs obstruent?

please elaborate on the topic, what goes wrong? You didn’t say what is the mistake. Do they just sound voiceless? Are they silent? Are they distorted? Otherwise I can’t tell you how to fix.

Hi,

Here is a shot trying to use an extended voiced ‘z’ sound. It is coming across as a weak and intermittent ‘s’ sound.

are you using 204b1 voices?

oh I see, you have 202. try upgrade to 204b1

also keep in mind that even in 204b1 it might not work
