Castilian Spanish or Latin American Spanish?

16th century courtly Spanish was likely dissimilar from modern Castilian or Latin American Spanish. For example “placer” was probably pronounced “platser” instead of “plaser” or “plather.” Another “regocijado” would have been “regotsishado.”
