Will synth v work with ara on apple m1 silicon?

I want to be able to use synth v inside logic pro as a plugin. I heard there are some issues. Does it work fine in rosetta mode on m1 silicon?

Thank you

It works fine with tempo changes, but nothing else as how it is declared to work in Cubase where there’s full implementation.

But I can still use it as an AU in Logic?

Yes,

Yes you can use it anyway

Can I play along the track with my midi piano either in the software or as a AU and then insert the lyrics? Or do I have to use the pen tool to insert lyrics? I want to play the song while hearing the track.

Thank you

I used it with Logic Pro 11.1.2 for every track on my new album (not out yet). I don’t know if I’ve got it set up correctly, but here’s how it works for me. I create a new software instrument track, and select either Synthesizer V Studio or Synthesizer V Studio 2 as the instrument. You can have different tracks and run either version in the same project. I add plugins, usually Soothe 2 and ChromaVerb, sometimes some UA compression. The MIDI notes do not appear in the main timeline with the other tracks, but if you open the plugin, you see the grid and the notes, and you can record notes in with a MIDI keyboard while you play the track. It’s not as well integrated as it is in Cubase, but it’s workable. Even though I’m a fairly decent keyboardist, I prefer to draw the notes in because I don’t have to worry about timing at all. You have to be pretty exact when you record with the keyboard and the click track, but you can do it. I definitely prefer working in the DAW where I have all my plugins and I can adjust everything in the mix, but I’ve been recording music a loooong time. I was on 4 track cassette in the mid-80s.
