I believe it is pretty clear from what they have stated that, if you are purchasing the 5 or greater upgrade, you can also upgrade Mai 2 for no additional cost and thus you should choose Liam or Mo Xu as your voice to be included in the Synth V upgrade. So, stated in a different way, if you are upgrading 5 or more voices you qualify for 2 additional new voices!
