SV2 Kevin 2 - Tuning

-a-

Taking the vowel -a- as in cat, bat, rat, and mat …

I used the short phrase: “Drab black cab nabs tad-ransacked bad man.”

This is what is sounds like without any alteration:

and what it looks like:

I then proceeded to move the individual sound components around for more clarity, thus:

But still the final ‘man’ sounds more like ‘men’ as in the first audio (above) so to alter that I used the mouth opening parameter, thus:

This is what the initial tuning now sounds like:

Feel free to comment, test the phrase yourself or express your own ideas for improvement (other than ‘change the words’) :joy:

-ah-

Taking the vowel -ah- as in car, bar, tar and far …

I used the short phrase: “Disarmed spa star shark memoir was far from calm.”

This is what it sounds like without any alteration:

and what it looks like:

Dreamtonics’ Kevin 2 did a good job of this vowel - no work was necessary, except on the word ‘from’ the o (as in hot, bot, cot) sounds more like u as in (hut, but, cut) so I changed it thus:

This is what the final tuning now sounds like:

-air-

Taking the vowel -air- as in bare, share, care and dare …

I used the short phrase: “Fair bear scared by daring blarey wheelchaired laird.”

This is what it sounds like without any alteration:

and what it looks like:

Dreamtonics’ Kevin 2 did a good job of this vowel sound also, but for clarity in other parts of the phrase I changed it thus:

and here’s how it sounds after the alterations:

-ay-

Taking the vowel -ay- as in day, stay, lay and clay …

I used the short phrase: “May Day grey clay quake mistaken for Great Yale Parade Fête.”

This is what it sounds like without any alteration:

and what it looks like:

Getting the phrase ‘… grey clay quake…’ to sound clear is proving very difficult!

Well, I will have to revisit this no doubt, but for the meantime here it is altered:

and what it sounds like:
