SV2 2.0.6 Copy Paste Broken

Synthesizer V Studio Pro version 2.0.6 Standalone on Apple M1 Mac Mini, Mac OS 14.6.1. I started a new file and hand entered 6 notes. Copied them, attempted to paste them to a spot 3 measures later, and they pasted over top of the original notes. Kept doing this. I saved the file, quit. Reopened the file, tried to copy and paste 3 measures later. This time they pasted 2 measures ahead. So I tried to paste it 6 measures ahead, and it pasted 2 measures ahead over top of the first attempt. This was not an issue in previous versions. I will submit it as a bug, but basically 2.0.6 standalone is useless to me. Bummer.

  1. Check the settings because there’s something in there about paste behavior and whether it pastes at your cursor position or somewhere else.
  2. Make sure your group is “big enough” to hold the pasted notes. You may have to manually extend it before pasting. This annoying behavior didn’t exist in SV1 but has been there all along since SV2.

Me too but for many other reasons and now the trial ended (they won’t extend it) they have a buggy app but won’t accommodate for this other than offering updates that are just as buggy or have different issues. I don’t think this company will be around too much longer as it seems their business model is to sell just enough to those that have no issues and forget about the rest who do. I’m beginning to think this is all a scam at least for version 2. It seems they released an app prior to full beta testing! They did refund me for initial release as it was too buggy to use, so I went to use trials hoping to give them time to fix issues. The updates helped only a little but the app is still too buggy for me to use, when I asked for extension on trial version they said no and have a nice day!
Talk about catch 22!

Thanks!! Tip number 1 nailed it. It was set to “Paste at the same screen position.” What a strange setting. I can’t remember setting that, but I guess it’d be handy if you’re pasting in harmonies. I think this will confuse people…

But not as much as your tip 2. My group was set really big so that wasn’t the issue in this circumstance, but if my group weren’t big enough, that would have stumped me, too.
