Another newbie question here - I have this section of vocal but the emphasis on ‘realised’ is on the third syllable ‘lised’ as a short stacatto burst, where I’m looking for it to be a longer ‘liiiised’ if that makes sense 
It is easy enough to export and change the wav file in Cubase, but I’d really like to learn a better SV technique to solve similar problems down the line.
In your Note Properties, you can lengthen the duration of the “ay” phoneme.

Been there (often), done that. Depending on what you want the result to sound like I don’t think it is unreasonable to spend a few days on parameter editing, I spent a full week on one song.
And don’t overlook the option of “wrong” spellings to get the pronunciation you want, such as maybe “realised” becoming “rearlyzd” - no idea what that would sound like but the idea is to try and tweak. … then start entering phonemes directly
