Nice first original. Getting male and female SV voices to “fit” together can sometimes be tricky. Not sure if your dry male and wet female was intentional. Some female voices can also be very thin compared to the males. This works best for me in the chorus where her harmonies fill her out more. It’s all subjective though. nice job. Looking forward to more ordinals.
Thank you very much for the thoughtful feedback. The main theme of this song was indeed meant to be a duet, and you are absolutely right. I added more reverb to her voice to give it that distant, dreamy feel. His voice is intentionally drier and more forward, since the story is told from his perspective. I’m glad the chorus came across well. Really appreciate your insights.

It’s funny, when I combine the two voices I am using, Mai and Yuma, I have to keep her volume really low, else Yume would be completely lost.
Three things that help me with vocals — and I’m still learning:
