Yes! I really like the sound of Liam… just hope in v2 I can make him more British English.
For Solaria, the new version 2.

I just tried it too and now worked after waiting for over 2 weeks for support to reply. They still haven’t. Not great although I know they’re busy. So now have all my voices updated including Solaria and Saros.
Roll on the 21st.
FYI: Youtube some voices V2 demo are also available:

And we just received an email from Dreamtonics:
Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro: V1/V2 Voices Comparison
I didn’t hear much difference in the comparison of v1 voices to v2 voices!
It seems that some people can use Synthesizer V 2 before everyone else.

My first observation is when you add a single note on the piano roll an immediate group of notes is created on the arrangement view. Maybe there is no more notes on the main group in the V2…
Yeah, their support department is slow. Actually, I never heard back from them myself They’re a small company, so I understand. But I love this program so much!
I got a reply after about 4 business days; I was happy with that as I had sent them a problematic SVP file.
After 8 days, I just got an email from them saying this:
Dear David,
Thank you for reaching out to Dreamtonics Support.
Please note that we’re experiencing an unusually high volume of inquiries since the product’s release, which has caused some delays in our response time. Please know that we’re working hard to get back to everyone as soon as possible.
We apologize for the wait and appreciate your patience.
Best,
Dreamtonics Support Team
Oh well. I’m glad they’re busy and I hope it’s translating into sales. It’s running fine for me, BTW, I have questions about the upgrade.
Hi all!
Like so many of you, I’m eagerly awaiting March 21st! Right now, seems to me that the more questions are being answered, the more are popping up! So I was hoping you might let me participate in your knowledge…
I bought the compatibility update for my existing Dreamtonics v1 voicebanks, plus the updates for Sol and Saros.
All my voicebanks are now listed twice in “my.account”, one as v1 and one as v2 (or II) each.
Maybe it’s just me being slow on the uptake, but I thought that voicebanks version 1 plus compatibility updates ARE NOT equal to voicebanks version 2?
Which leads me to the question: Are the versions 2 of the older voicebanks in the Dreamtonics store just versions 1 inclusive of the compatibility update – or are they really new, fullfledged versions 2, capable of using ALL the new features?
So far, I couldn’t find any information on this.
Another question: I decided to secure three more v1 voicebanks from the AH-S store. The one voicebank by AH-S will receive a free version 2, but the two voicebanks by Dreamtonics (bought on AH-S) got an update offer by the Dreamtonics store. Is it possible to – belatedly – extend my former update for 2 voicebanks into 4 now? And if so, how?
Never thought this might prove to be so complicated
Thanks for your time!
As a ‘compatibility updated’ voicebank will not work in SynthV1, we get to keep the original voices - maybe you wish to continue using V1… hence V1 and a second version of what ever type.
I assume the store lists these updates as ‘V2’ as a sort of quick indication rather than having a complicated series of version codes, I haven’t dealt with any voices that fit into this ‘update’ category yet so maybe I’m wrong.
A compatibility update is definitely NOT a fully-fledged V2 though, some voices may never achieve that rank - sales too low to justify work/cost, original recordings not suitable etc.
I agree it has proved a bit of a maze to negotiate though, it took me several attempts to work it out with the assorted suppliers and options - and I wait with baited breath to see what I have actually bought
That should read :-
I assume our accounts list these updates as ‘V2’ … … …
For some reason I cannot edit the original post - 403!
Yes, there is a new issue on this forum (maybe a storage limitation, for example). I also discovered a new error when I wanted to add a simple image.
All version 2 means with all new features. Voicebanks V1 compatibility update registered in your account will be available as a V1 for SynthV2. I guess without the “2” number on the name. Wait the 21st to see how to download them.
If you buy another update voicebank +2, I think it is possible. But to avoid any issue, ask the support.
I guess you’re right. It only kind of stunned me because I thought that “my.account” was meant to be a permanent account of my licenses in the future, and I couldn’t fathom why they would credit me with a v2 voicebank when I only paid for a compatibility update. What’s more – in case I later find that I prefer the “real” version 2 over v1 plus compatibility update and purchase that one, too, I might end up with two different voicebanks labeled the same.
But yes, let’s wait and see what happens. I’m really curious to see what difference the new versions are going to make in my own songs!
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer!
Thank you very much for explaining!
I expected it to be the way you describe it. I’m just thinking, considering that “my.account” is intended to permanently keep count of my licenses now, it might make for confusion in the future when a v1 voicebank with a compatibility update is listed as a full fledged version 2. I’m bound to forget about the details in a year or two, and I might not be the only one. So this kind of labelling might prove a bit unfortunate in the long run.
But yes, I guess it will all be sorted out in the end!
