I bought Hxvoc tonight. When it comes to rock, I like traditional hard rock, not the screamo stuff, but the idea of being able to add a little scream to just a handful of high notes seemed great. I just wanted to say that Hxvoc is very easy to customize. Dial up the Subdued, and he’s a rock singer that’s easy to understand with just a hint of grit. Dial down the Subdued and he’s plenty aggressive, but not screaming. Dial up the scream, and well, he screams. It’s really easy to automate, he’s really musical sounding, and I’m very very happy with him. If you want a rock or metal singer, don’t let the screamo ability turn you away - it’s super easy to dial it up or not use it. If you like the screamo stuff, you can dial it up to seriously aggressive. Another smash hit from Eclipsed Sounds!
I’m excited to try out HXVOC, especially after hearing its impressive demos. I love the versatility it offers for making Metal and Rock covers and remixes, with options for clean singing as well as gritty vocals. It seems capable of handling a wide range of styles, and I’m particularly interested in experimenting with Death Metal or Grindcore, if it can achieve guttural growls alongside high-pitched screams. The demos suggest it can manage the screams, but I’m curious about the growls.
Agree, he has replaced Nine Zero as my go-to rock singer. He has a nice grit to his voice, but it is also possible to clear him up if needed.
Liam in the “Heavy” mode is also useful. The great thing is the increasing options and choices we have now.
Absolutely. This (vocal synthesis) really feels like the start of something absolutely massive. Miku came out almost 20 years ago, but the mainstream music biz hasn’t started paying attention until the past few years. I think the eventual market for vocal synths is anyone with a computer who wants to make any kind of music, and that’s a massive group of people. And there are some of us who will buy pretty much any voice that sounds great and that we think we can use. Nine Zero never did anything for me, but I did buy both Liam and Hxvoc.
Agreed! Hxvoc is very versatile. Mixing and matching the pitch, pronunciation, and timbre parameters of the vocal modes is a wonderful new feature. Combined with the AI retakes it’s fun to dial in voicebanks like Hxvoc to make the song better.
Might be fun to use Hxvoc to make a scream show tunes though…
It’s great, I just bought it and I’m testing it…
Ninezero is a cool rock voice but a little too “Ozzy” for my productions. I’m just breaking the seal on my new HXVOC purchase and looking forward to digging in!
That is EXACTLY why I didn’t buy Ninezero - too similar to a certain famous iconic singer named Ozzy. Hxvoc reminds me of modern singers in general but no one specific, which is perfect.
HXVOC voice provider is Seann Nicols. He has been atye lead vocalist of Quiet Riott and Adler’s Appetite, among others.
Yep, sure is! Agreed.
