How to update existing tracks to V2?

I’ve upgraded to SV 2, figured out registration and activation, and now I get a choice of V1 or V2 in Logic Pro. However, I can’t see how to upgrade/convert existing tracks from v1 to v2. I found this thread describing an export/import process. So I used “save as” to generate a .svp file for the track (it’s not clear whether it contains just one track, or the whole set), but when I try to load this file from within a V2 instance, it won’t load the file - .svp files are greyed out and can’t be selected. If I try “export” rather than save as, it doesn’t give an option to save as an svp file.

How is this supposed to work?

Try ‘Export Current Group As UST’ from the export menu in V1 then you should be able to do it with File>Open in V2

Seems I found an alternative route - if I “save as” rather than export, it then works if I “import as tracks” rather than plain “import”.

Yep, that works as well. Seems like there are many ways to do the same thing in SV. Good software, but not he easiest to navigate.

To open a v1 file in v2, why not just open it as any other project?
A pop-up (below) will give you all the options you want, keep as v1 (my standard choice) or convert with no way of ‘unconverting’, if I do this I always rename any save so I have the v1 file still intact.
The file is still .svp so should not be greyed out.

Because I’m not in the least bit interested in using SV as a standalone app (I only use it from inside Logic), and so there is no external project file to open; I have to go out of my way to make one.
