I had quite good success with Natalie but struggle to find the right key for Hayden to sing in. I was wondering if anyone knows what’s a good key for him to sing in.

I never think about the key until the melody has been established. If that has already been done, then it’s range that’s going to determine most suitable key, along with the vibe you’re going for. Hayden’s low register is very different to his high register… which are you looking to exploit?
Honestly, once I have a melody determined, it’s a case of moving up until I hit the sweet spot. I typically write initially in C/Am because I find it the easiest key to spot conflicts, but just choose what’s easiest for you, and then find the best key when you’ve got the melody at least in a good state of development.
