I would like to have the ability to ‘no change’, ‘mute’ or ‘solo’ by right-clicking the title-bar of a grid and making my choice from a dropdown list; so that voice adjustments can be turned off or isolated to better equate their effectiveness and aid better crafting thus:
Thinking about it, maybe just two simple buttons would suffice as illustrated below:
+1 for this. Particularly the ability to mute notes while experimenting/developing a project.
I like the idea, but it might be hard to track.
Maybe it should only apply during the current session or show as a markup in each group while active.
Once the project is closed, it could be hard to locate notes to unmute/un-solo, especially with many tracks and groups.
True, but in the Cubase MIDI editor muted notes show in white, so pretty easy to spot those - could the same idea be applied to the SV piano roll?
Gentlefolk, I wasn’t so much asking for note muting as parameter muting such as loudness / mouth opening / etc to hear if these adjustments interfered with each other as editing progressed.
I understood that OP talked about muting automation not notes (he also note it here).
However I will be happy for both features.
- Working on specific couple of notes and silencing notes around them inside a loop.
- Working on automation and soloing one or more automations to audition the impact while the other automations are disabled/muted.
