I’m using Logic and need to delete a half chorus, 8 bars. Easy to do for the backing tracks of course. However , seems impossible to ‘cut’ sections in synth tracks and it looks like I have to select all of the remaining notes and drag them to the left for 8 bars, and I have about 6 backing tracks!
Is there a way to do it without all that nightmare? can’t find a way to select empty portions of a track and cut them…
Not sure if I’ve understood correctly - but if you’re editing in the plugin window I would place the mouse over the track, right-click at the start of the empty measures and select “Split Group”, repeat for the end of the section, delete the empty part and close the gap by dragging. I don’t think there’s another way to do it but someone on here may be able to correct me on that.

I don’t incorporate groups. My green box will extend from the start to the end of the song.
Still think you should be able to cut bars out though as with any DAW…
Ah ok - I assumed you were using V2…
I am using V2? Not sure what you mean…
The “green box” is automatically a group in v2 (unlike in v1) and can be cut up the way I suggested.
