Hello,
i’ve been trying to use the ara mode, with an existing remix project. After I detected pitch from the original wave file present on that track and added the lyrics, the voice doesn’t sound except for a few miliseconds here and there. I saved the arrangement into a svp file and loaded a new vsti instance , there it works perfect. But not in ARA. Has anyone else had this problem in cubase 14 (latest version) ?
I use Synth V with CB14 Pro, but I only use the bridge mode … I’ve never tried the full ARA version.
Bridge mode works fine for me.
I use ARA mode in Cubase 14 Artist and it works fine for me. I was having issues in CB13 but in 14 it works really well for me. I record my terrible voice in CB and then “fix” it using SV2 in ARA mode using either Kevin or Natalie as the voice.
@pgroslou Are you using the ARA plugin, or the regular plugin with ARA Bridge enabled?
CB14 Pro gives me an error saying the function is unsupported when I try to put the ARA plugin onto an audio track.
I believe I am using it in the full ARA mode.
I record my vocals, so that i have an audio track in Cubase. I then highlight the clip and load an Extension to it from the Info bar. It then loads SV with the audio (but you don’t see the audio track). I then go Extract Notes from Audio in SV from the Automate menu. Once i hit Okay it extracts the notes and lyrics into SV. I can then play the track and the rest of the tracks will play from Cubase. I can then change the notes as needed. To reopen SV i just double-click the clip in CB to open SV. Once you are done editing the notes in SV you can highlight the clip again in CB and select Make the Changes Permanent from the Extensions menu in the Info bar.
This is what works for me. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info … much appreciated. I’ll need to experiment with that way of doing things and see if it improves the workflow.
I’ve gotten used to having SV as an instrument track with a random audio sample on a separate audio track using the extension, that forces the ARA bridge mode and gives me control of transport from within SV.
I thnk it confirms that CB can’t use SV as an insert. SV installs an ARA vst effect but when I try to add that in on an audio track it pops up telling me it is incompatible.
Dreamtonics have some excellent stuff going on behind the scenes, but don’t seem to have the time to explain it all thoroughly in a manual! I wonder what else is going on that we are missing out on?!?
