In a cubase project, I use an instance of Synthesizer V for the solo voice, but I would like to simply copy the midi notes (with lyrics) to another instance to make backing harmonies , but it seems to be not possible. I would have to save the entire project and reload it in the new instance and then remove the verses . Which isn’t all that much work but regarding workflow, can’t it be done that the second instances can just paste what is in the clip board from the first one ?

Either set up several tracks in the VST, where you CAN copy groups or individual notes between tracks (this works for me with multi-output on the VST to have each track appear as a separate track in Cubase) or export as MIDI and import into the new instance.
