High, I want to alter the loudness of a single word/note so I click and highlight the single word and then drag the loudness slider down but it alters all the notes of the whole song not just the one I selected. Any help please. I’m using Synthersizer V 2 Pro in Cubase. ( all parameters seem to be stuck altering global so unable to alter single word even if I click on it and its highlighted.)

what do you mean about loudness of a single word? I’m not aware of the existence of a loudness slider for a single note.
Things in the note panel affect individual notes whereas things in the voice panel affect the entire group. if your track is split in multiple groups, it will affect only the current group.
You can however alter the loudness for a single note by using a loudness curve at the bottom below the piano roll.
