I can confirm that on my system (see attached) and Logic Pro 10.5.1
Putting SV2 in record (i.e., clicking the record Icon in the transport) when used in ARA Bridge mode will crash the DAW. I was attempting to follow the suggestion to get notes into SV2 in real time to work around the glitchy function of trying to record the parts directly in the plugin. Meaning recording the part on the SV2 instrument track IN THE DAW instead of in the plugin, and then later recording those MIDI parts into SV2 by putting it into record to then record the parts into SV2 kills the DAW. (I know I can always export the notes and then import them, but that is anti-productive and kills the creative process for me. As soon as I try to record the part from the DAW track INTO the plugin, the DAW quits. So as of now, on my system, ARA Bridge is anti-productive unless I manually write the notes in, which is also a creative killer. This messes with my workflow big time. I will try and grab the developers’ attention on this problem, and I do hope they read this forum. This will be a great app once all the bugs are worked out. I realize many have no issues, but for those who experience problems, the app is a challenge to use productively in ARA Bridge mode outside of the learning curve. Keep in mind, this app is advertised as being compatible with machines such as mine. IF anyone has a solution other than using SV2 in standalone mode, please let me know. Btw, I tried unloading the voice bank. It seems every workaround finds another bug. Thanks in advance.
