Hi

My images of vocalists has gone! Nothing major, I can live without them

New bug in this version: when “Use Direct2D for GUI Rendering” is checked in on configuration page than lyrics become invisible.

Just tried recording a vocal in Cubase 14 ARA Bridge mode and the notes are flashing up on the piano roll, but not recording.

Anyone else having this problem?

[UPDATE] Just rolled back to 2.05 and everything working again, so looks like another bug in 2.06

Two forward, one back, eh?

BUMP No-one else having this issue in Cubase?

The VST3 Instrument version is still crashing Studio One on existing of the song. I got an email saying they fix it in 2.06 but apparently not.
My ticket status has changed to pending.

Hey @manassas77, very new user, but on Cubase 13 it seems to work for me provided:

  • There is a Group where I am recording into (notes played before the group starts or after the group ends aren’t recorded)
  • I click the Record within the VST, not the Cubase record. If I start recording from Cubase then I get your described behaviour (notes flash, nothing recorded). If I record from within the VST it works as expected. The VST instrument track still needs to be armed too.

I’m not sure if this is different from the behaviour of 2.05 or what is expected since I’m new to Synth V. It does seem strange though that recording from Cubase (and so hitting record on my DAW MIDI controller) doesn’t work.

hey @hobbyhorse Thanks for checking that out for me. Looks like it must be something odd at my end (yours is the only response I’ve had ).

I’ll reinstall 2.06 later and take another run at it.

I agree, having to get the VST to record, rather than the Cubase record button is a bit inconvenient, but the software is otherwise very reliable on CB.

That was a big help @hobbyhorse - thank you!

It seems that you need to create a group first before adding any MIDI notes from the controller. In V1 you just started playing the keyboard and notes appeared, but in V2 everything is centred around having groups of notes.

Different approach - not better or worse - but I am at least better informed :+1:

And I can happily carry on with the other 2.06 improvements on board now.
